Переглядів 782Місяць тому
As broadcast live on WLWT Cincinatti. This show aired shortly after the "50 Club" went "National" on the NBC network. Stars Ruth Lyons (who may have invented the entire idea of a "talk show" on TV) and Willie Thall. This may be one of the only surviving episodes. Pls folks, it was Three Men and a Little Lady, Three Men and a Baby was just a baby.
@11:13 How wrong he was about Senator Taft. Even then, newscasters went out on dangerous political limbs.
Anybody else like the MCM decor in this pilot?
I have always loved her! Classy lovely woman.
Really great to see this, thanks for posting!
Great pilot episode. Anne Francis and Nancy Kovack kept this viewer's attention. The blonde with the diamonds was Pat Collins, The Hip Hypnotist. Oddly she was uncredited but this was the only time I saw her in a show where she didn't play herself. Loved the series back then and the DVD collection now.
Now if you could post the Lloyd Thaxton Show that really would be something to make you shit your pants in excitement.
I never had Screaming Yellow Zonkers, but I always loved this groovy, hip cartoon commercial, which made me want some! (Was that Mel Brooks doing the voiceover?) Thanks for bringing it back!
Trying to push the new agenda in 1968.
GREAT VIDEO ! WEDNESDAY 6/19/24 JUNE 19, 2024
I loved this show so much, I begged my mom to take me to the store so I could make my own puppets. She took me to our local fabric store. Born 1958. I wanted to be an astronaut, when I grew up and loved Ham the chimp for orbiting the Earth. The early 60s was a wonderful time to be a kid.

They actually put how to pronounce her name, that's hilarious. Funniest thing about this dreary pilot. Dew Sew sounds a lot like Mary Tyler Moore in her successful series, probably intentionally. I'm surprised she didn't take her hat off and throw it in the air. I liked Too Close For Comfort, but not because of her. This is just a poor setup that relies too much on snappy patter that isn't snappy and character comedy from characters who aren't particularly funny.
wise man 🙏
WOW, surprisingly good for early comedy! Most early comedy doesn’t hold up, but this was hilarious!
Its crazy how the world has changed.. People, music, life... Nothing like this will never exist again.
SHE was SO STUNNING ! I love listening to her tell stories. She was a magnet in every way ! A one in a million !
Trans-Lux Teleivision syndicated this series for years. 130 quarter-hour episodes were filmed in color (some stations used black and white prints).
And people of great talent thought this was funny? Watchable?
he anchored the movie. should have won the oscar.
I used to to read the BC comic books sat in the back on a family road tips, hours of laughter. Simpler days
How much nicer things were back then!
14:09 - - Caviar canape. - Madeleines (cookies) with jelly. - Endive salad - with dressing ( Salsa sauce) - Breast of Guinea hen (under a glass cover to contain the steam). - Potato soufflé. - Cherries jubilee. - Coffee. - Napoleon Brandy later. ... and two glasses of champagne to toas
Poor little Mary Ellen looks so overwhelmed.
Yep, that’s Lee Patrick, Mrs. Topper aka “Effie” in the Maltese Falcon.
So wish they'd made this pilot into a series! Enjoyed this anyway. Shirley Jones is such a dream, beauty, talent & grace.
Was all her money and assets taken from her after she died? Obviously the profits of crime!
They painted everything, trim, bumpers, bright work, and only cover the windows😂
This host doesn't know the definition of "personal space"
Number six in the "Willie Dante" series of stories Powell appeared in, originally telecast on May 3, 1956.
It was reported in the mid-1970s she was drinking heavy again and was asked to leave several NYC bars.
Enjoyable episode. “ Cheer up young man, many of fox has been out foxed in the henhouse “Awesome
Beautiful people really existed back then! Of every race!
It's amazing some of the footage left over from the cages available I would definitely like to see more of behind the scenes footage.. so sorry Jeffrey Hunter didn't do another episode
Originally telecast on October 23, 1952.
most beautiful woman who has ever lived?
Lip readers could help interpret some of the dialog. Maybe that will be a skill that AI will eventually acquire, like HAL 9000.
Fantastic!
The Disney company that made this kind of fun, wholesome family entertainment died years ago.
Originlly telecast on September 30, 1954.
Like Ward Bond and Walter Brennan, McLaglen was a huge fan of Hitler and Mussolini.
Originally telecast on "SINGER FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE" on March 31, 1955.
I love Gary Lockwood. He did great on this show, it should have made it.
television = Tell a vision. this was rough to watch with hindsight. 🤢 it became more believable later on, but all the illusions are broken now and we have the eyes 👀to see. (it's not religious)
signs and symbols rule this world and will give them away. 3:00 Finger over the mouth into the hush position at 3:05 for anyone wondering please research the finger over lips = Keep Silent
all of their efforts for nothing. truly. all is vanity. they did indeed play their parts. and we can thank them as well for being useful idiots. through moving pictures humanity has met its end. social engineering for the elites. 🤮 🐐
the polio bit seemed to be the entire reason for the spectacle. nothing new under the sun. ☀
OMG! It's the Geritol hour.
I watched this on TV as a child. The TV screen was about 10” diameter and round! The image was fuzzy. But the joy was great.
St Jude is the patron saint of lost causes. When Danny was down on his luck, he prayed to St. Jude for help. He told her if she sent him success he would build a shrine to her, hence St.Jude’s Childrens Hospital ❤🙏🏻
